City Hall Exhibits Committee
The City Hall Exhibits Committee (CHEC) is the advisory body that, in conjunction with the City Hall Exhibits Program, reviews and approves proposals for exhibits in public spaces in San Jose's City Hall. The City Hall Exhibits Program, managed by the Public Art Program, places exhibits in public spaces in City Hall for the public benefit. Learn more about the City Hall Exhibits Program.
The CHEC is appointed by the Arts Commission and includes visual arts professionals from San Jose and the South Bay, as several ex-officio members related to City Hall operations.
Meetings
The CHEC meets on an as-needed basis: meeting frequency is determined by the need to review proposed exhibits in order to develop an upcoming schedule.
Meeting location: CHEC meetings are typically held in public meeting rooms in City Hall however they are presently being held virtually to comply with Covid19 safety measures.
