  • Call the City’s Customer Contact Center at (408) 535-3500 to establish a payment plan
  • To establish low income and/or vulnerable customer status on your water account, please use one of the following forms:
  • The City of San José received funding from the California Water Arrearage Payment Program (“Program”), provided through the State Water Resources Control Board and funded by the federal American Rescue Plan Act. Under the Program, the City provided $1,517,468 in account credits to customers with unpaid balances accumulated between March 2020 and December 2022.

Need help paying your past due water bill?

Utility payment assistance programs may be available through Sacred Heart Community Services to qualified applicants. Customers can view their website, contact them via phone, email or visit their office for information and assistance.

LATE FEES

  • A late fee of $10.00 or 10%, whichever is greater, is applied when the payment is received after the due date on the bill statement.
  • Visit the Pay My Utility Bill webpage for information on how to pay your Municipal Water System Bill.
