Opioid Safety & Awareness

Families across the country are dealing with the health, emotional, and economic effects of the opioid epidemic. In 2023, there were over 81,000 overdose deaths in the U.S. involving opioids.* Santa Clara County is no exception. In 2023 alone, there were 230 recorded deaths attributed to opioid overdose in Santa Clara County.** Furthermore, fentanyl overdoses have made up an increasingly large share of drug-related fatalities and are responsible for more than 70% of drug overdose deaths.

The best way to help combat this epidemic is through awareness and education. Together, we can reduce the dangers of opioids and their impact on our communities.
