Homeless Prevention & Rapid Re-Housing

On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. This act included $1.5 billion for a Homelessness Prevention Fund called the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP). Locally, the City of San José received $4,128,763 to implement a HPRP program.

As a requirement of receiving funding, the City must submit quarterly reports that highlight the amount of funds expended, number of jobs wholly or partially funded with the grant and a status of the various activities funded.
