CHILDCARE RESOURCES

The Santa Clara County Department of Education's COVID-19 Childcare page has many resources for families, including a childcare portal, which allows families to identify childcare providers by location and to see if they are eligible for childcare assistance and to apply.

STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOURCES

Caltrain Extends Fare Discounts for Clipper Users: Passengers who use a Caltrain Monthly Pass, only available on Clipper to ride the rail service, will continue to receive a 20% discount through June 30, 2023. Many other rate changes are also postponed.

OLDER ADULT RESOURCES

If you are an older adult or are caring for older adults, the County of Santa Clara provides information on how to remain safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. You can also find additional COVID-19 guidance on the State.

In partnership with non-profit and faith-based organizations, the City of San José is managing countywide Senior Food Distribution sites at numerous sites such as community-based organizations, churches, neighborhood and community centers, and City-owned facilities.

FOOD ASSISTANCE

The City of San José has compiled resources on Food assistance and other benefits for all residents including low income individuals, seniors, youth, and families.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE RESOURCES

If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse by an intimate partner, there are resources in our community that can help. Local domestic violence agencies provide remote crisis counseling and safety planning, and other services such as emergency shelter, housing assistance, and legal advocacy.

STRESS AND ANXIETY MANAGEMENT

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM

With instruction in many school districts going virtual, the County of Santa Clara’s Office of Education has created a resource page to help parents as they supervise their children’s school work from home.

The Inclusion Support WarmLine offers FREE support, information and referrals for including students of all ages with disabilities and other needs in your community. Information is offered in English, Spanish and Vietnamese (and other languages as needed).

San José Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services' Virtual Recreation Center has many resources for parents and kids learning from home. San José Public Library also has numerous resources for those learning and teaching from home.
