Proposed Site Development Permit at 17 E. Santa Clara Street, Community Meeting, Project No. H20-026

Meeting Purpose:  To describe the applicant’s proposed project, the City’s review process, and to obtain community input on the project located at 17 East Santa Clara Street. Comments, concerns, and questions raised at this meeting will become part of the public record and will help inform the project’s design as it moves forward in the review process. There are continued opportunities throughout the permit process to publicly comment on the project as illustrated in the permit process chart below.

Proposed project: Site Development Permit (File No. H20-026) to allow the demolition of two existing commercial buildings (totaling 14,623 square feet) and the construction of a new mixed-use project including approximately 5,400 sf of area for the Future VTA BART Station, 5,200 sf of commercial space, and 192 multi-family residential units, including 22% restricted affordable units for low-income residents, and no proposed parking.
