Meeting Purpose: To describe the applicant’s proposed project, the City’s review process, and to obtain community input on the Icon/Echo Project located on the westside of North 4th Street between East Santa Clara Street and East St. John Street. Comments, concerns, and questions raised at this meeting will become part of the public record and will help inform the project’s design as it moves forward in the review process. There are continued opportunities throughout the permit process to publicly comment on the project as illustrated in the permit process chart below.
Proposed Project:
HP21-007: Historic Preservation Permit to allow the demolition of an existing building within the St. James Square City Landmark District
SP21-031: Special Use Permit to allow the demolition of all existing buildings on-site totaling approximately 15,748 square feet and the removal of 42 trees for the construction of a mixed-use project consisting of up to 415 residential units, 525,000 square feet of commercial office space, and 8,500 square feet of retail space on an approximately 2.10-gross acre site.
T21-033: Vesting Tentative Map to reconfigure four lots into two lots and allow up to 10 commercial condominiums and 415 residential condominiums.
