Proposed Special Use Permit at 70 North 27th Street, Community Meeting, Project Nos. SP22-004 & ER22-038

Meeting Purpose:  To describe the applicant’s proposed project, the City’s review process, and to obtain community input on the project located at 70-80 North 27th Street. Comments, concerns, and questions raised at this meeting will become part of the public record and will help inform the project’s design as it moves forward in the review process. There are continued opportunities throughout the permit process to publicly comment on the project as illustrated in the permit process chart on page 4 of this Agenda.

 

Proposed project{s): Special Use Permit (File No. SP22-004) to allow the demolition of an existing two-story commercial building (21,545 square feet), the removal of 15 trees (three ordinance-size and 12 non-ordinance), and the construction of a new six-story multifamily residential building with podium parking and 198 residential units, including 5% for very-low income households or 10% for low-income households, subject to the State Density Bonus Law, with alternative parking (mechanical lift stackers) and associated landscaping and amenities.
