Berryessa BART MTIP
The Berryessa BART Multimodal Transportation Improvement Plan (MTIP) is a community-based effort to identify transportation improvements. This plan will likely result in improvements like: better bike lanes, safer pedestrian crossings, and dedicated bus lanes. The study area centers on the Berryessa BART Urban Village. The planning process will consider current neighborhood priorities and the City's forward-looking goals.
Project Area
The Berryessa Urban Village project encompasses the area around the Berryessa / North San José Station. The Berryessa MTIP Study Area focuses on areas bordered by E Gish Road and Murphy Avenue / Hostetter Road to the north; McKee Road and E Julian Street to the south; Flickinger Avenue to the east; and N 10 and 11 Streets to the west.

- Spring 2021: Existing conditions
- Summer 2021: Goals, network map, and project types
- Fall 2021: Project design, cost estimates, and prioritization
- Winter 2021 to 2022: Final plan
Community Engagement
- During the first half of 2021, the City of San José engaged with the community to better understand the transportation related issues in and around the Berryessa MTIP study area. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all community events were held online.
