Tully Road Safety Project
The Tully Road Priority Safety Corridor Project will add safety improvements along Tully Road, between Monterey Road and Swift Lane. This project will slow down traffic and improve safety for all people using the street, particularly pedestrians. The following enhancements will be implemented:
- Median islands with pedestrian median fencing and trees
- ADA compliant curb ramps and raised pedestrian table crossings
- High visibility crosswalks and enhance buffer bike lanes
- Bulb-outs to reduce turning speeds at the following locations:
- Tully Road and S. King Road
- Tully Road and Quimby Road
- Traffic signal modifications at:
- Tully Road and S. King Road
- Tully Road and Quimby Road
- New traffic signal at the intersection of Tully Road and Brahms Avenue/Kenesta Way.
Timeline
- Environmental clearance and final design will be completed in all 2021
- Construction is scheduled to start in summer 2023 with completion expected in summer 2024

The project is funded by the One Bay Area Grant (OBAG) program. This grant focuses on improving:
- Local street and road maintenance
- Streetscape enhancements
- Bicycle and pedestrian improvements
- Transportation planning
- Safe routes to school projects
