The existing bike lanes will be enhanced with concrete separators for most of the corridor where there are currently quick-build delineators. Additional segments are being considered to provide protected bike lanes along the entire corridor. Alternative designs, such as
frontage lanes, may be installed to maximize existing on-street parking while further enhancing safety for both parked vehicles and bicyclists. From Tully Road to Alma Avenue, reduced lanes will allow for concrete separated bike lanes. At key intersections with transit improvements, bike lanes will be brought up to sidewalk level. Striping will be in place to show where bikes can ride, and where they must yield to pedestrians.
