The Department will begin issuing new hangtags and discount cards through mail-in applications. Customers eligible for discount rates must provide copies for proof of age (valid government issued ID), disability (DMV issued DP Paperwork) or military service (DD-214).
Renewals, New Annual Parking Passes and New Discounted Parking Passes
These items are now available for purchase by mail. Discount Smart Cards are also available by mail at no charge. Please fill out the Regional Park Parking Application below and follow these steps:
Regional Park Parking Application
Mail-in:
- Enclose any daily parking receipts for 2021 to apply toward an Annual Hang Tag or Discount Hang Tag (up to the value of the Hang Tag)
- Enclose Completed Application
- Enclose a copy of your 'Proof of Discount Eligibility" (listed on the application) - for the Discount Annual Hangtag or the Discount Smart Card
- Payment Options:
- Enclose check made payable to the City of San Jose
- Provide phone number for office staff to call to obtain credit card information
- Email picnicreservations@sanjoseca.gov to request a call back or ask general questions
