Proposed Rezoning and Special Use Permit at 2740 Ruby Avenue, Community Meeting, Project No. C20-012 & SP20-024

Meeting Purpose:  To describe the proposed project, the environmental review and planning process, and obtain community input on the project and issues to be discussed in the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) analysis. This Community / EIR Public Scoping Meeting will be held in compliance with the City’s Public Outreach Policy (6-30) and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), as amended. Public input on the scope of the EIR is encouraged so that the review addresses all relevant environmental issues. The Notice of Preparation (NOP) for the EIR is available for review online in the EIR Library of the City of San Jose’s Planning Division web site: http://www.sanjoseca.gov/ActiveEIRs

Comments, concerns, and questions raised at this meeting will become part of the public record and will help inform the project’s design as it moves forward in the review process. There are continued opportunities throughout the permit process to publicly comment on the project as illustrated in the permit process chart below.

 

Proposed project: Rezoning (File No. C20-012) from the R-1-5 Single-Family Residence zoning district to the PQP Public/Quasi-Public zoning district and Special Use Permit (File No. SP20-024) to allow the construction of an approximately 14,983-square foot private gathering facility with an alternative parking arrangement (off-site parking and valet parking) on an approximately 1.86-gross acre site.
