Meeting Purpose: To inform the public about new regulations for 100% deed-restricted Affordable Housing development on Assembly Use Sites with a General Plan land use designation of Public/Quasi-Public. Comments, concerns, and questions raised at this meeting will become part of the public record and will help inform the project’s design as it moves forward in the review process. There are continued opportunities throughout the permit process to publicly comment on the project as illustrated in the permit process chart below. Proposed project: PP21-010. The City is proposing changes to the General Plan and the Zoning Ordinance that would allow sites located on land designated as Public/Quasi-Public (PQP) to develop 100% deed-restricted affordable housing if there is an assembly use on site; and the site meets specific criteria. In addition, this ordinance will include minor text edits to improve consistency in addition to adding or clarifying definitions in the zoning code.
