Meeting Purpose:  To describe the Martha Gardens Historic Resources Survey project and to provide an opportunity for community members to participate and share stories of the historical persons, places, and buildings of the Martha Gardens neighborhood.

Project Description (File No PP22-007): The Martha Gardens Historic Resources Survey project focuses on the Martha Gardens Specific Plan area and seeks to identify properties as eligible for historic designation, as well as to capture the stories of community members who are familiar with the area’s places, persons and buildings.

 The historic survey project is proceeding through early 2023 under the guidance of the City's Historic Preservation Officer as part of the City’s efforts to identify historic resources. With assistance from consultants, staff seek to identify more of the untold stories of the City's history - including places, people, and buildings. We welcome the perspectives and stories of community members who have not traditionally had a voice in expressing the City's history.
