Meeting Purpose: To discuss the applicant’s proposed project, the City’s planning and environmental review processes, and to obtain community input, relative to the Special Use Permit application for the property located at 2628-2638 Union Avenue. Comments, concerns, and questions raised at this meeting will become part of the public record and will help refine the project as it moves forward in the review process.
Proposed Project: Special Use Permit to allow the demolition of an existing shopping center and the removal of eight non-ordinance-size trees for the construction of a 100% affordable, six-story, mixed-use project consisting of 260 multifamily residential units and 2,400 square feet of commercial retail space with an application under the State Density Bonus Law on an approximately 2.31-gross acre site.
