Meeting Purpose: To describe the applicant’s proposed project, the City’s review process, and to obtain community input on the project located at 1325 East Julian Street, 1347 East Julian Street & 1298 Tripp Avenue. Comments, concerns, and questions raised at this meeting will become part of the public record and will help inform the project’s design as it moves forward in the review process. There are continued opportunities throughout the permit process to publicly comment on the project as illustrated in the permit process chart on page 4 of this Agenda.
Proposed projects:
- Site Development Permit (File No. H21-050, 1298 Tripp Avenue) to allow the demolition of four residential buildings, the removal of nine on-site trees, and the construction of a six-story mixed-use building with 235 units (100% affordable) and 820 square feet of commercial use.
- Site Development Permit (File No. H22-001, 1347 East Julian Street) to allow the removal of eleven on-site trees from a vacant lot for the construction of a six-story mixed-use building with 2,454 square feet of commercial space and 45 units (100% affordable).
- Site Development Permit (File No. H22-012, 1325 East Julian Street) to allow the removal of five trees from a vacant lot for the construction of four ten-story mixed-use buildings with a total of approximately 11,437 square feet of commercial space and 633 units, including 95 affordable units subject to the State Density Bonus Law.
