Interested in improving San José's community forest? The Community Forest Advisory Committee (CFAC) gathers once every three months to discuss the City's goal to work toward a sustainable forest. This committee seeks to protect, enhance, and grow San José's community forest in a way that benefits all communities equitably.
The committee will perform the following functions:
- Make recommendations to help shape annual work plan priorities
- Review key City policies to protect, enhance, and grow the community forest
- Identify and secure the resources needed for a successful urban forestry program
- Help promote public education and outreach
Register for the virtual meeting on Zoom. Visit the CFAC webpage to learn more about the committee. If you have any questions, comments, or want to be included in future CFAC events, please email our team at CFAC@sanjoseca.gov.
