Committees & Working Groups

The GovAI Coalition has six committees that each focus on a specific part of our mission for responsible AI for the public good. Four of these committees have individual working groups as the committee expands their efforts.

Adoption Support Committee

The Adoption Support Committee supports agencies to adopt responsible AI policies into their jurisdictions. Their current goal is to help 100 government agencies to adopt GovAI Coalition templates into their practices.

AI Registry Committee 

The AI Registry Committee works to grow the AI Vendor Registry established from Phase 1. The committee’s current goal is to have 100 AI FactSheets submitted to the Vendor Registry.

Cooperative Purchasing Committee 

The Cooperative Purchasing Committee facilitates creation of cooperative purchasing agreements among member agencies. The committee’s current goal is to connect agencies with joint procurement need and have three cooperative purchasing agreements linked on the vendor registry.

External Affairs Committee 

The External Affairs Committee coordinates public communications, stakeholder engagement, and updates the GovAI Coalition LinkedIn page

Policy Committee 

The Policy Committee reviews new AI policies to stay updated on the legislative landscape and make additional edits to policy templates as needed. The committee's current goal is to update and develop the next version of current GovAI Coalition templates.

Use Cases Committee 

The Use Cases Committee helps agencies share knowledge and collaborate on AI use cases. The committee’s current goal is to have 45 use case guides (using the use case template) and one jointly developed AI model by the GovAI Coalition.
