Sponsorships PAUSED - 2024 Sponsorship Application

 The Office of Racial and Social Equity is proud to be able to support and sponsor various community partners serving those who have deep connections in San José with impactful events, projects, and programs.

We acknowledge and value the impact many of our local community-based organizations have in San José and want to support those who share our commitment to equity and inclusion and our vision of a City of San José in which all people in our community and organization thrive and where no racial disparities exist.

To make our support more equitable, please use this sponsorship application to request funding for the amount no grater than $5,000. Applications submitted are not guaranteed to be awarded and amount of awards are subject to funds available.

The City of San José's Office of Racial and Social Equity provides a limited number of sponsorships each year in order to:

- Expand access for City residents to a wide range of cultural & community experiences 

- Foster inclusion, belonging, & welcoming among all of San José's community members

- Support organizations implementing San José's Welcoming Plan strategies

- Increase awareness and education of racial equity efforts in and among City of San José residents

- Enhance engagement with historically underserved community members

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a non-profit or 501c3 organization
• Must be hosted in San José
• Cannot be a fundraising event/project/program
• Must be willing to share outcomes and requested information
• The City receives:
  • Inclusion of the City's logo in event/program materials
  • A table for display of city materials if applicable
  • Exchange of information

May 1, 2024 - Application Submission Deadline

(Applications for the full year of programs and events are due however, based on number of applications and/or available funding, we will accept applications on a rolling basis throughout the year)

June 1, 2024 - Announcement of Sponsorship Selections for July 2024 - June 2025
