Meeting Purpose: To describe the proposed project, the environmental review and planning processes, and obtain community input on the project and issues to be discussed in the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) analysis. Public input on the scope of the EIR is encouraged so that the review addresses all relevant environmental issues under the California Environmental Quality Act. The Notice of Preparation (NOP) for the EIR is available for review online in the EIR Library of the City of San Jose’s Planning Division web site: http://www.sanjoseca.gov/ActiveEIRs. Comments, concerns, and questions raised at this meeting will become part of the public record and will help inform the project’s design as it moves forward in the review process. There are continued opportunities throughout the permit process to publicly comment on the project as illustrated in the permit process chart on page 4 of this Agenda.
